My Customer Commitment

Our motto “Like Clockwork” perfectly describes my approach to each and every client’s settlement. All titles, surveys and closing packages are prepared, processed and reviewed in advance to avoid costly time delays. In order to insure good, marketable title, thorough review of the history of the ownership of the property, or the title search, is essential. If a title defect is found, I will investigate the issue fully in order to resolve it in a timely manner, giving you peace of mind that your largest and most important investment, your home, is protected. With nine full time attorneys admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland and/or Virginia who may be consulted if legal questions or issues arise, in addition to title insurance underwriting counsel, I am uniquely qualified to assist our clients. My credentials also include title insurance licenses in Maryland and Virginia, as well as being an approved agent and underwriter for North American Title Insurance Company and Chicago/Fidelity/LandAmerica/Commonwealth. In the course of my career, I have taught numerous classes in real estate settlements, participated in seminars and appeared as an expert witness in court. I also have served on various committees and boards of directors of charitable and professional organizations.

About Me

I am a native Washingtonian who also grew up in Oxon Hill, Prince George’s County, Maryland. I attended the University of Maryland for my undergraduate degree in Business and Management and George Washington University for paralegal studies. My career spanning thirty-eight years plus in real estate settlements began at District-Realty Title Insurance Corporation and grew as a result of the opportunity to work with some of the top local law firms, real estate attorneys and title companies in Montgomery County, Maryland and the District of Columbia. My interest in genealogy and family history research, with more than 2,500 documented ancestors in my own family tree with roots reaching back in time to colonial Virginia, the British Isles and Northern Europe, compliments my profession. I also enjoy reading books about American, European and Egyptian history and period novels.
