Our Commitment to the Environment is Growing!

North American Title Company Today, the trees needed to provide our lives with paper, lumber and other such products are harvested in a far more ecologically friendly way than they were in the past. Closely regulated by the government, the timber industry plants, harvests and replants trees to perpetuate a cycle that is good for both business and nature.
Unfortunately, that has not always been the case…
Across our country, countless wooded acres have been cut in a way that has left the land unable to recover. Trees cannot grow in the debris and standing water that was once a thriving wooded ecosystem. It is very difficult for these areas to heal on their own.

In 2009, North American Title Company will help one of these sites recover to its original environmentally productive state. North American Title Company is sponsoring the rehabilitation of several sites where aggressive timbering has disrupted the growth cycle of a wooded ecosystem. The land will be cleared of refuse, and the scars left by a crude and devastating event will be healed. A sapling (young tree) will be planted for every closing performed by North American Title Company’s Florida Division.

Here at North American Title Company, we are very aware that our industry is a significant user of paper. Although our company has initiated several initiatives to reduce the impact our services have on the environment, we thought that the actual planting of trees would be as important as our recycling program or the paperless processes we have adopted.

Our project schedule is as follows...

  • The removal of most of the debris was completed before the onset of winter.
  • The final cleanup will be completed in early spring
  • Starting in mid spring, the soil will be restored to its natural condition and prepared for planting
  • Seedlings will begin to grow in late spring
  • From early summer through early fall, the seedlings will be transplanted to their new homes
